Austy says, you're tagged. So, I tag along...
Seven things you plan to do before you die!!
1. Have 3 children. Make 2 and adopt one. Was planning on 3+1, but I don’t think that’s possible, what with the bomb ticking. Actually, plan to have the two at one go - download them in two plops and say “Ok. I’m done”. Two boys and a girl. Names are Dennis, Calvin and Tanushka.
2. Have an affair with George Clooney, if not marriage. Strike that. Finish my Masters in Eng. Lit. and become a lecturer.
3. Spend time by the seaside – not just little snatches of time, but some years. Away from the maddening crowd, so to speak. Including the family I will have someday.
4. Finish my book. I’m getting there. With the help of a few divine nudges. But, I won’t tell you who my angels are. They are two. And they know who they are. One of them will get a gold chain the day the book is out. The other will get a leatherbound print with a red satin ribbon inside.
5. Buy or build a lakeside cottage somewhere in Europe, preferably Vienna. With white picket fences. And a swing outside, a big room inside with a recliner, the sunset painted on one wall, loads of music and books and a snack bar.
6. Travel. Europe, Hawaii, Africa - must visits.
7. Let go when I should, hold on when I should. Usually, I do the opposite of what’s required.
Seven things you can do!!
1. Find new ways to use essentials and cosmetics with fantastic results – toothpaste on acne, exfoliating scrubs on the, err, derriere, hair conditioner with body wash for the softest skin, (swear you don’t need moisturizer after that), etc.
2. Make some mean masala chai and cabbage pakodas/stuffed mirchi bhajjis. Awesome combo for a rainy/wintry day.
3. Stay awake till the wee hours of the morning.
4. Tinker around with my routine to accommodate a guest.
5. Be with my niece Anu for hours on end and go back to being 11 years again. (or whatever her age is at the time)
6. Laugh at myself. It seems to have become the order of the day.
7. Pray.
Seven things you can't do!!
1. Swim
2. Drive
3. Speak my mind when I should. I find the words later.
4. Add the right amount of salt to whatever it is I’m cooking. It’s always less.
5. Lose hope.
6. Tolerate pseudo-intellectuals – people who look down on your choices, just because they want to feel superior. I don’t know how they live with themselves.
7. Dumb conversation that goes nowhere.
Seven things that attract you to the opposite sex!!
1. Clean hands with tapering fingers and clean nails, with not too much hair on them. WOOHOO! And a fat wristwatch. Now, there’s a turn-on!
2. A good, firm butt (Obviously!!)
3. White cotton shirt/Kurta, blue jeans that are not too snug, but look like they were made to drape the legs they are worn on. And a good aftershave/cologne. (It’s a complete ensemble, so it’s just one point)
4. Chivalry (Obviously!!)
5. Easy demeanor – one that suggests that he is comfortable being himself and doesn’t need any kind of re-definition. Someone who’s at home anywhere in the world.
6. Wit. Quick repartee. Sense of humor. (Again, amounts to one point only)
7. Someone who’s not stingy or uncomfortable with romance (Obviously!!)

1. Shingaleeka/Shingaleeki (That's Kannada for baboon or langoor)
2. Kammangi (That's Kannada for monkey-faced)
3. Shoompshoorbee Sheeshbrooklyn!! (one of the many names that I have for Anu)
4. Appaaaaaaa!! Dinner/Lunch/Breakfast/Coffee/Tea!! (Usually hollered at the top of my lungs)
5. I’m hungry.
6. Have a nice weekend.
7. Get lost.

Very cute. I like your names for Anu and the 7 things you say most. You know strange that you mentioned hands being a criteria that is attractive in a man. I thought my being attracted to strong forearms was a weird thing, but I guess women do look at different things. Most of those about the guy I will def agree with you. Yeah clean nails is a sign of a clean guy. HEHE. Agree with you there.
